A class comprises a warm-up, technique development, partner work and kata. Classes also have conditioning and pad work.
No. JKA karate is semi-contact which means any sparring that is done is controlled.
We welcome returners to training. You can train in your previous coloured belt. When you take your next grading, upon passing, your previous grades will be registered with the JKA.
Please consult your GP before training if you have any underlying medical conditions.
Don’t worry we have students of all fitness levels. Training is structured to accommodate your fitness level. Over time you will find your fitness will greatly improve.
